Pressure Washing Services in Orlando FL for a Pristine Look
June 12, 2025What Exterior Cleaning Actually Covers
“Pressure washing” gets used as a catch-all, but the work splits into a few different jobs that use different methods. Knowing which is which makes it much easier to ask for what you need.
House washing
This is the walls, and on most Central Florida homes it means stucco. Stucco should be soft washed, not pressure washed. Low pressure plus a cleaning solution lifts the algae without pitting the surface.
The shaded side almost always looks worse. That is normal, and it is where the difference shows most after a wash.
Roof cleaning
Those dark streaks are algae, not dirt or damage. It feeds on the limestone filler in shingles, which is why it spreads downward in stripes.
Roofs are soft washed, always. Pressure strips the granules that protect the shingle and takes years off the roof.
Driveways, walkways and patios
Concrete is the one surface that genuinely takes pressure. A surface cleaner gives an even finish instead of the striped look you get from waving a wand around.
Oil spots need a degreaser first. Pressure alone pushes oil deeper into the pores rather than lifting it out.
Gutters
Two separate jobs here, and people often mean the other one. Cleaning gutters out means clearing the inside so water flows. Cleaning the face means removing the black stripes on the outside.
Pool cages and screens
Screens hold mildew and give way easily. This is gentle work, done by hand more than by machine.
What to ask for
Tell whoever quotes the job which surfaces you care about, and ask which method they will use on each. A straight answer to that question tells you plenty about who you are dealing with.
